The HISTORY of USUI REIKI
Reiki was founded by Dr. Mikao Usui. Born 15 August 1865 departed 9 March 1926. He was decorated by the Emperor of Japan during his lifetime. Reiki came about after Dr. Usui’s long search to be able to heal as stated in the bible by Jesus. After his successful healings he then opened a practice and then a college, Dr. Usui passed on all teachings to his successor Dr. Chujiro Hayashi who documented the information. To keep it in its true form. Later in 1935 a young woman Hawayo Takata who resided in Hawaii, came across Reiki in her search to heal herself of a tumor. Mrs. Takata then became a student, teacher and master bringing the modality to the Western World which we know of today.
The HISTORY of SEICHIM
Seichim can be a beautiful addition to Reiki or whatever kind of energetic healing method that you use. Similar to Reiki, Seichim connects with Source, to establish healing in the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual bodies. The Energy is used to heal and to stimulate personal development and growth and to reach ones true purpose. Seichim is another aspect of the One Source. It was rediscovered in 1980 by Patrick Zeigler while he was visiting Egypt and after spending the night in the King’s Chamber of the Great Pyramid. Patrick Zeigler an American Reiki Master, when he meditated (as Dr. Usui did when he rediscovered Reiki) he was empowered with the sounds and symbols of Seichim. Seichim is said to have originated in Egypt over 5,000 years ago, as Egyptian hieroglyphics were translated in to Sanskrit meaning Seichim, when translated into English it means “power of powers” or “living light energy”. It is believed that it was translated from Egyptian hieroglyphics by Shin Yon Buddhists and taken to India and Japan, and later to China and Tibet. It is said to be the parent of hands on healing. Seichim is connected with the goddess "Sekhmet" in Egypt mythology, who is known as the mother of all Gods. It is also connected with the goddess Kuan Yen in Southern India, China and Tibet, which can be linked to Buddhism.
